The Eco Film Fest (EFF) represents the first kind of film festival in Malaysia that is dedicated to increasing awareness about environmental issues and thought-provoking action- or solutions-oriented approaches for all Malaysians.

The Fest’s goal is to ultimately change the behavior and mindset of Malaysians, through educational and creative films with the aim of increasing political will for better environmental regulations and legislations in Malaysia.

The festival will start with a series of public screening in early October before it ends with a festival where the winner(s) are announced. On Friday night, we will feature a Green Lounge where we will showcase some of the most creative and thought-provoking eco-films. Entrance to the Green Lounge is via purchases of 4 eco-friendly light bulbs (CFLs). The general public are encouraged to bring their own water container for the free juices and their own plastic wear for free popcorn.

Then feast yourself on Saturday as the Fest reaches its grand finale. Watch all the films directed by our finalists and nervously anticipate the announcement of the winner(s). Sample delicious food from a selection of organic and locally produced menus prepared and served by fine chefs. Children's activities with educational films and games will be offered throughout Saturday.
