wildasialogo20040427v08_hor.gifIn conjunction with World Environment Day, we're hoping to excite you with a Tree Party event Wild Asia's co-organizing with AMP Radio Networks and Friends of Kota Damansara (FOKD).

Date: 21 June, 2009 (Sunday)

Venue: Kota Damansara Community Forest (see attached map to KDCF below)

Time: 8am - 5pm

It will a full day event filled with activities for all ages and is aimed at getting urban communities to use their green space, and thereby contributing to the upkeep and overall protection of the community forest as a functional urban green lung and watershed area.

Activities during the day include:

  •     tree planting,
  •     photo competition,
  •     eco-kids activities,
  •     guided nature walks,
  •     kayaking,
  •     "Scout's Trail" mountain bike time trail competition (more on FakawiTribe.com)
  •     Eco-Licious, Eco-booth and Eco-Corner

You can also find out more on the event at www.wildasia.net or go directly to http://www.wildasia.net/main.cfm?page=article&articleID=477 . This is also the site where you can register to participate in the above activities.

In helping to spread the green message, AMP's is already airing community service announcements (CSAs) on their participating radio stations; ERA, MY FM, hitz.fm, MIX fm, LiteFM, SINAR, XFM, THR Raaga. Keep your ears tuned!

With so much happening on the 21st, why miss the opportunity to spend some morning tree-time with AMP's celebrity deejays or watch cyclists race away and whizz by you in the afternoon? Spend some time with your kids during eco-play or take the guided nature walks and warm your camera's shutter in the forest park by taking part in the photo competition.

Wild Asia are also trying to rally 50 volunteers to help them out during the event - so if you or your friends are interested to be part of the fun-loving Wild Team, email Sharyn Lisa at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and she will forward you a form.
