d_dockers_logo_fal08a.gifA new breed of eco warriors are rushing to save the world. As the saying goes, all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. Not for these featured environmentalists. Meet Maximillian Conrad and Dr Reza Azmi, Malaysia's own young and hip young eco warriors, who face the daily challenges of working towards a better environment and geared in Docker's latest vintage collection.

In a recent interview with the Edge with attires sponsored by Dockers, EcoKnights managed to take a sneak peak of their aspirations, goals and ambitions as they took to the Bukit Kiara Park for a quick photo shoot spotting the latest Dockers Vintage attire.

Dr Reza Azmi is the founder/director of Wild Asia (www.wildasia.net) and plans out the various brilliant conservation efforts of the organization. Recently Dr Reza, who is also a skilled botanist, had embarked on a very ambitious AND successful large - scale tree planting programmes on Malaysian private lands. This is part of Wild Asia’s programme in carbon offsetting for industry players and even individuals like you and me.

Maxmillian T. Conrad, a Bachelor of Applied Science in the field of Biodiversity Conservation and Management, currently works with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (NRE). He is currently tackling the issue of climate change in Malaysia. He finds that he is given a fantastic opportunity, in his current position, to help drive conservation efforts through environmental friendly policies and help educate people from various sectors (private &government) on the effects of global warming.

Both individuals have both passion for the environment and are dedicated to what their current career entails. Homegrown in Malaysia, and well versed in local environmental issues, both Max and Dr Reza adopt a hands-on approach to advance their environmental efforts. Their tasks at hand are not easy but the overall goals are the same, to make the environment a better place to live in with minimal interruption from development.

Dockers® K-1 Vintage Story

A pair of khaki pants may be regarded as a boring way to dress but that is about to change with the release of the limited edition Dockers K-1 Vintage Pant. The K-1 Vintage pants are positioned as the Vintage product of the future. This is articulated in the product via the intricate details and construction that attest to its vintage handcrafting.

The fabric is a specially developed, dense two-ply yarn twill weaved from the original vintage looms from the 1940s and 50s, resulting in a luxurious soft hand feel. It also comes with an iconic selvage seam that is characteristic of some vintage products. This enhanced with nostalgic tailoring techniques like crotch gusset and 'grandma' handcrafted-look bind-stitching on hem appreciated by those well versed in the history and heritage of Khaki.

The Dockers® Limited Edition K-1 Pant will be launched only in Asia Pacific with approximately 400 pieces available. Price range from RM629 and the product will be available in selected Dockers® San Francisco stores. The K-1 Pant is also available as a commercial version retails at RM318.
