“Two-fifths of the CO2 that’s slowly crisping our planet comes from power stations, mostly burning coal. This year Carbon dioxide level reached about 390 parts per million against 270 ppm before the Industrial Revolution of the 18th century ushered in wide use of fossil fuels. Warming is widely expected to bring more heat waves, flood and rising seas.”
