tiny_tapir_logo.gifHave you ever found yourself wishing there were more ways to go green? While the eco-friendly movement is gaining momentum in Malaysia, it’s true that the nation as a whole could use a lot more variety in its greener lifestyle options. Enter Cressa and Li Chan, two sisters who took a look around them, realized what was missing, and started Tiny Tapir , an online store that showcases a wide range of environmentally-friendly products, most of which are new to the Malaysian market.

Their philosophy in promoting Tiny Tapir is three-pronged: primarily, Cressa and Li hope to promote eco-friendly lifestyle changes in Malaysia, but they also seek to support women, and to raise awareness of healthier alternatives to mainstream products and practices.

The store’s products primarily cater to female and baby hygiene needs, and range from cloth diapers, pacifiers, toddler clothing, menstrual cups, house and garden solutions, all natural soaps, and much more. Items range from the affordable to the higher-end, for those who want to indulge themselves. At the moment, the majority of Tiny Tapir’s products are imported, though Cressa and Li hope to bring in more local endeavors soon, by providing a platform for handcrafts made by single mothers working at home.

So do check out the Tiny Tapir site and see what they have to offer. Tiny Tapir might at the Eco Film Fest 2008 in November at Aswara, so be sure to drop by to meet them and explore some of their eco-friendly products!
